EM-Sim is designed for emergency medicine residents, medical students interested in emergency medicine, and practicing emergency physicians looking to maintain and improve their clinical skills. Content difficulty ranges from medical student to attending level.
EM-Sim combines physician-authored branching clinical cases, performance analytics, and an AI Tutor. Decisions receive immediate feedback and lead to case-specific patient states. Some errors allow recovery when corrected; harmful or unsafe outcomes can block a completion certificate.
Our simulations cover key emergency medicine topics, and the analytics dashboard includes a practice progress score.
We offer three subscription tiers:
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time from your dashboard. When upgrading, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing period. When downgrading, the change will take effect at the end of your current billing period.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through our secure Stripe payment processor. We do not currently accept PayPal or wire transfers for individual subscriptions.

We currently offer 32 comprehensive emergency medicine simulations spanning cardiac, trauma, respiratory, neurological, pediatric, OB/GYN, toxicology, and sepsis categories — with new scenarios added quarterly. Premium subscribers get early access to new content.
Most simulations take 10-20 minutes to complete, depending on the complexity of the case and your pace. Each simulation includes 5-8 decision points with detailed feedback.
Yes. You can retake any simulation as many times as you like. Your analytics dashboard tracks all attempts, allowing you to see your improvement over time.
Reviewed-source Tutor — choose a supported case. Responses show intact teaching passages with their case context. Questions outside those passages cannot be answered.
Our analytics dashboard tracks your performance across all simulations, showing overall statistics, category-specific scores, progress over time, and areas needing improvement. It calculates a practice progress score and identifies your strongest and weakest categories to guide focused study.
Yes, EM-Sim is fully responsive and works on desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. We recommend using a tablet or desktop for the best experience, especially for reviewing detailed feedback and analytics.
EM-Sim works on all modern browsers — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge — on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Signing in works normally in every supported browser, including Safari on iPhone and iPad.
